I had always thought of Ann Frank as a hero but, was she really? I mean, she didn't really do anything but write in a diary. Yes, she loved God and all. I never really thought of it like that before. I don't know much about her so, I guess I can't say anything bad about it. The whole reason I'm even writing this is because my English class at school is watching a movie about Ann Frank. I really have nothing against her. I was just wondering why she is so important. Yeah, I know her diary is a primary source of what happened and all. Most of what she wrote about was her personal problems and her version of teen romance. There have to be other people that wrote something about the Holocaust, right? I am going to look up stories about the people involved in the Holocaust.

I think the most profound thing Anne wrote was that in spite of everything, she still thought people were good at heart.
It would be awfully hard for me to say that about someone who wanted me dead.
But I think you're right in a sense. Miep is more of a hero. She's one of the many who risked her life for that of a fellow human, who wasn't even her family!
